Why AI needs protecting too
AI is fast becoming a critical part of our business processes. Powerful new machines like NVIDIA’s DGX Station allow enterprises to run their custom models locally, protecting the intellectual property in the models, the training data and the business data that gets fed through them. Just like any other part of your business software stack, those models need protecting too.
NVIDIA DGX Station comes to Windows
At the NVIDIA GTC Berlin conference, NVIDIA announced Windows support for their NVIDIA DGX platform. This brings the enormous power of NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs and NVIDIA Grace CPUs to business desktop users. AI isn’t just for research anymore; AI means business.
Here at Absolute we are excited to be among the first Independent Software Vendors for the NVIDIA DGX Station for Windows. If you mean business then you need resilience, and at Absolute that means cyber-resilience. At NVIDIA GTC Absolute demonstrated that Absolute’s Application Resilience can secure your whole application, including your AI models.
A strong foundation for resilience
For decades Absolute has been proud to partner with all the leading PC OEMs to build our patented Persistence technology into the firmware of the vast majority of laptop and desktop PCs used by business. As soon as the original DGX platform was announced we started work to ensure that we could deliver the same technology on NVIDIA hardware. We believe that security and resilience need a foundation below the OS, deep in the firmware, and we know that our OEM partners want to enable this across all platforms, no matter what chipset they use.
There’s more to delivering cyber resilience than having a solid foundation though. Cyber Resilience means that when the machines you rely on are attacked, misconfigured or out of compliance, that you can quickly and easily bring them back to a safe state, so that you can Stop Downtime for your business. Computer downtime - systems being unable to do their jobs - costs business $600 Billion dollars per year and it’s our mission at Absolute to get that back.
Stopping downtime faster than the threats
Of course the increased power and availability of AI has opened up a whole new landscape of problems and threats that risk bringing our systems down. Attacks are coming faster. Patching is happening more frequently. More staff are using AI to write (buggy, unstable) code. More of your systems are getting connected more quickly than ever before. With all the things that cause downtime going faster, we need to be able to stop downtime faster than ever.
Resilience for AI and AI for Resilience
That’s why at GTC Berlin we demoed Agentic Resilience. We already have Absolute’s Secure Endpoint platform running on the NVIDIA DGX Station for Windows, but we are working to extend our platform in two dimensions. As the applications that you run become more dependent on local AI models, you need the protection of our Resilience technology to be applied to those models as well as to the code. As attacks come faster, you need autonomous AI to restore and repair your systems as fast as the AI threats that they face. We are delivering both Resilience for AI and AI for Resilience.
Going forward, the power of AI at the edge means that Absolute’s software can make nuanced, security-critical decisions at the edge. As I mentioned in my recent blog post, NVIDIA’s Open Agent Safety Platform can give us an extra layer of control, and enhanced visibility, as we start to use rich AI models to automatically repair and restore your machines, autonomously handling cases we’ve learned about from the almost 20 million endpoints that we help to manage while allowing you to escalate the hard cases to your security teams.
See Agentic Resilience in action
Here at Absolute we’re excited to be working with NVIDIA at the forefront of AI for Resilience, and Resilience for AI. Together We Stop Downtime. Want to see Agentic Resilience in action? Request a demo and we'll show you how it works on the DGX Station for Windows.
