Absolute Manage 6.7 delivers seamless support for Mac OS X Yosemite with Streamlined Device Enrollment, Management and Migration
Vancouver, Canada: December 2, 2014 – Today, Absolute® Software Corporation (TSX: ABT), the industry leader in persistent endpoint security and management solutions for computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones, announced full support for Mac OS X Yosemite, with the release of Absolute Manage® 6.7.
This release of Absolute Manage includes full support for Mac computers within the Apple Device Enrollment Program (ADEP), an automated device enrollment process. This seamless experience enables Absolute customers to remotely provision employer- and employee-owned Macs as part of the standard device setup process, ensuring all new Macs are registered and compliant from the very first moment they are put into use.

Absolute Manage 6.7 offers extended functionality that highlights the new management features in iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite. These features include:
- Yosemite Compatibility – Full support for new OS X Yosemite features and security requirements.
- Zero Touch Deployment – Enablement of a best practices approach for deployment of new Mac computers, permitting enrollment profiles to be established at the time of purchase. This adds to the existing ADEP support for iOS devices.
- MDM for Mac – Enhancements to the MDM enrollment of Mac computers and related commands
- Absolute InstallEase 2.0 – The newest version of this complementary software packaging tool, InstallEase allows IT to create and deploy customized software packages
Availability
Absolute Manage 6.7 is available now. The release also includes additional enhancements as well as compatibility with the newest operating systems. The popular InstallEase software repackaging tool has also been updated to support the latest Mac and Windows operating systems, available as a free download on absolute.com.
