Vancouver, Canada: July 28, 2011 – Absolute® Software Corporation (“Absolute” or the “Company”) (TSX: ABT), the leading provider of firmware-based endpoint security and management solutions, today announced that Mary Piehler, Regional Director, Northeast Sales has been recognized by Everything Channel’s CRN Magazine as one of the top Women of the Channel in 2011. This annual list recognizes female executives for their accomplishments over the past year, based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. This year’s Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN Magazine from a field of vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers.
Ms. Piehler has worked in the information technology industry for over 30 years in global and regional leadership roles. For eight years she held senior management positions with value added resellers ServerWare Corporation and Systems Management Planning Inc. Prior to that she served in various management positions for 18 years at Digital Equipment Corporation/Compaq (now known as HP) and four years with NCR Corporation. In addition, she served in a global management role as the Worldwide Manager for the Eastman Kodak account. For the past year she has applied her considerable expertise within the channel in leading the Northeast sales team at Absolute. This is the fourth time Ms. Piehler has been named to the CRN Magazine list.
“This year’s Women of the Channel list honors those female executives who epitomize success within the IT channel – a traditionally male-centric industry. Whether they come from tier-one vendors, VAR500 solution providers or just bring a bevy of channel experience that cannot be ignored, the 2011 Women of the Channel list will recognize the most influential women of the channel based on their overall achievements, and their influence in the technology industry,” said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial Director, Everything Channel.
“Mary is a great asset to the Absolute team. Her experience in the channel is a key part of her and her team’s success,” said John Sarantakes, Vice President, NA & EMEA Sales at Absolute Software. “I and the entire Absolute management team would like to offer our congratulations to Mary on her recognition as one of top women of the channel.”
A sample of the Women of the Channel list will appear in the July issue of CRN Magazine and expanded coverage will be featured online at www.crn.com.
