Windows Server 2016: End of Support

To assist customers in their long-range planning, Absolute Software is providing advance notice of End of Support for Microsoft Server 2016.

On January 12, 2027, Windows Server 2016 will reach its “End of Support” date. After this date, Microsoft will no longer issue any functional or security updates for the operating system or offer any technical support for it.  January 12, 2027, will also be the final day of official support of Windows Server 2016 for Secure Access.

After January 12, the Secure Access team will no longer test our servers for compatibility with Windows Server 2016 and customers reporting bugs specific to Windows Server 2016 may be asked to upgrade to a more modern version of Windows server to fix an issue. We will continue to offer technical support for customers running Windows Server 2016 on a ‘reasonable business effort’ basis.

If they have not already done so, customers should plan to migrate off Windows Server 2016 before January 12, 2027.
