Appoints Information Security Veterans from Microsoft and Symantec

Vancouver, Canada: November 9, 2015 Absolute® Software Corporation (TSX: ABT) the industry standard for persistent endpoint security and data risk management solutions, today welcomed Eric Aarrestad and Todd Wakerley as senior vice president of Product Management and Product Development, respectively.

As senior vice president, Product Management, Mr. Aarrestad will advance product innovation while leading a world-class product organization. Aarrestad is responsible for defining the product strategy and roadmap for all segments of the business, enabling continuous improvement and providing competitive advantage for the Absolute Data & Device Security (DDS) product line.

Aarrestad has worked in enterprise IT product management for more than 20 years, with extensive expertise in SaaS and information security, having previously held leadership positions at Microsoft®, HEAT Software and WatchGuard Technologies.

In the role of senior vice president, Product Development, Mr. Wakerley will lead a globally distributed team of people to execute on the product roadmap, positioning Absolute for continued growth. Wakerley will oversee all software development activities and drive the process of aligning engineering efforts to Absolute’s strategic objectives.

Wakerley’s career spans more than 15 years of software development and endpoint security experience. Prior to Absolute, Mr. Wakerley served as senior director, Mobile Software Development at Symantec Corporation where he specialized in SaaS and on-premise security and storage solutions.
