Absolute Software Shows Positive Movement in the Gartner CMT MQ

By: Absolute Team | 6/3/2014

Absolute Software has been positioned as a Visionary in the Client Management Tools Magic Quadrant released by Gartner. For the second year in a row, Absolute Software has seen positive movement in this Magic Quadrant, moving higher in position and further to the right.

Absolute Manage, our client management solution, allows customers to remotely manage all the devices in their deployment including PC, Mac, Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices - all from within a single console. With Absolute Manage, IT can replace multiple systems with a single solution so they can easily determine the status of each device, conduct typical IT maintenance routines, manage MDM and employee-owned devices and take immediate action if required.

In the past year, we’ve seen organizations reacting to the growth of non-Windows endpoints and shifting away from Windows applications, while at the same time struggling to manage the influx of devices connecting to corporate networks. We are happy to provide a single solution to manage all of these issues.

Absolute Software first made an appearance as a Visionary in this Magic Quadrant three years ago. Absolute Software is also positioned in the Niche quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software and the Niche quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention.

For inclusion in the May 22, 2014 Magic Quadrant for Client Management Tools, vendor solutions were considered based on the following functions: software distribution, hardware and software inventory, OS deployment, and patch management as well as other functionality often included such as remote control, security configuration management, and software packaging. In addition, Gartner also looked at cross-platform and mobile support, workflow capabilities to automate client management processes, and self-service capabilities that were generally available as of February 19th, 2014.
