The members of our management team provide a depth of industry and operating experience that is fundamental to the success of Absolute.
Chief Executive Officer
Geoff was appointed Chief Executive Officer and as a Director of Absolute in July 2014. A veteran IT industry leader, Geoff has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software and security market and has held senior executive leadership sales and operations positions for organizations in the Americas and the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to Absolute, Geoff served as Chief Operating Officer of EMC Asia Pacific and Japan where he focused on developing and driving sales strategy and managing key global sales functions to accelerate growth for the region. He oversaw the success and performance of the channels, marketing, global accounts, inside sales, alliances and product divisions within the company.
Prior to this role, Geoff was Vice President of Americas Sales at RSA, a division of EMC, where he was responsible for creating and executing RSA’s market strategies. Under his leadership, RSA’s business in the Americas consistently outperformed its business and market share objectives, and delivered strong double-digit growth. Before leading the Americas Sales group, Geoff ran the RSA business for Asia Pacific and Japan based out of Singapore where he more than doubled RSA’s market share in the region.
Geoff is a Dean’s Honor List graduate of the Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Errol is responsible for managing the finance functions at Absolute, including our investor relations efforts. Errol served as the interim Chief Executive Officer at Absolute from December 2013 until June 2014. In this role he was responsible for driving overall corporate strategy.
Errol joined Absolute in 2010 and brings more than 20 years of corporate finance experience, including over 15 years in the technology industry. He has supervised the finances, operations and process improvements of rapidly growing companies, has participated in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and has managed public company reporting. Prior to joining Absolute, he was Chief Financial Officer at Inetco Systems and previously held the same role at Explorer Software. Errol’s extensive technology industry experience also includes senior finance roles at Pivotal Corporation and Infowave Software. Prior to leaving public practice, Errol was a manager in the audit and advisory services group at KPMG LLP, where he worked with a portfolio of private and public companies.
Errol holds a Chartered Accountant designation and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Chief Commercial Officer
Sean Maxwell oversees the broad leadership of all commercial activities for Absolute’s global operating markets. This includes Global Sales and Professional Services.
Sean is a high-performing information security executive with a proven track record in leading effective and successful global enterprise software sales teams. His experience spans large global enterprise organizations, as well as at technology start-ups, within the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to Absolute, Maxwell was vice president, Global Sales Strategy and Field Enablement at Symantec. In this role he was responsible for global sales and go-to-market planning — from defining the sales strategy to delivering quarterly results. Prior to his work at Symantec, Maxwell held sales leadership roles with Virtual Instruments and EMC.
Chief Strategy Officer
Christopher Bolin is the Chief Strategy Officer at Absolute and an acknowledged thought leader in the information security industry. With more than 20 years of experience, Christopher leads global product strategy, overseeing the product development and product management teams at Absolute.
Prior to joining Absolute, Christopher served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Product Operations and Chief Technology Officer at McAfee Inc., helping to grow security specific product revenues from under $300 million to over $2 billion during his tenure. He also led the strategic planning, technical due diligence, and product team integrations for multiple acquisitions resulting in accretive revenue streams and product innovations for McAfee.
Since that time Christopher was President of Prevx Limited in the UK where he was responsible for company operations and market awareness, culminating in the successful sale of the company. Most recently he served as CEO of a consumer utility business.
Christopher has also regularly consulted with private equity and venture capitalists providing guidance and expertise for opportunities within the technology sector.
Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer, Chris is responsible for our information technology and security strategies at Absolute.
As a member of Absolute’s senior executive team, Chris is an active participant in the strategic direction of our business. He is instrumental in ensuring that Absolute consistently applies industry-leading standards of security and risk management across the organization. He also works closely with customers and industry analysts to ensure Absolute meets and exceeds regional and vertical-specific compliance standards including ISO 27001, FIPS, and many others.
Chris has over 20 years of experience in technology, operations, and leadership positions. Prior to Absolute, he held several executive roles within the retail, financial services, and securities industries. Most recently, Chris served as Chief Information Officer at Boston Pizza where he managed the entire IT infrastructure and security functions. He also held executive roles at Best Buy, Indigo, and spent 10 years in senior leadership positions at TD Bank. He has a proven track record leading IT transformation driven by changes to business strategy and security and compliance requirements.
Chris studied at both the Richard Ivey School of Business and Ryerson University in Ontario. He frequently shares his expertise and insights at industry events and academic institutions.
Executive Vice President, Product Management
Eric Aarrestad is Absolute’s Executive Vice President of Product Management and is responsible for defining and driving the company’s product portfolio. Under Eric’s guidance, the product management team defines and communicates the product strategy and roadmap for all segments of the business.
Eric is a seasoned information security executive with more than 20 years’ experience and a proven track record of market impact through building, scaling, and growing global cloud, SaaS, mobile, data analytics, and security products and services. Before joining Absolute, Eric held leadership positions at Microsoft, HEAT Software, and WatchGuard Technologies.
Eric has a master of business administration from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Portland.
Executive Vice President, Product Development
Todd Wakerley is Absolute’s Executive Vice President of Product Development, leading global product development initiatives to advance technology strategy in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Before joining Absolute, Todd served as senior director of Symantec’s Enterprise Mobility Suite, helping develop mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), and application security for iOS and Android devices. He also led the company’s strategic planning, technical due diligence, and product team integrations, resulting in accretive revenue streams and product innovations for Symantec.
A respected industry leader with more than 20 years’ experience in the information security industry, Todd’s previous roles include software development and IT management for a variety of technology and consulting organizations, including Arlington Group, Wise Solutions and Altiris. Todd has a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
Senior Vice President, Worldwide OEM, Channel and Business Development
Mark Grace is Absolute’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide OEM, Channel and Business Development. He is an accomplished leader and industry veteran with nearly 20 years of sales, marketing and operations experience in computer technology and consumer electronics. Mark is responsible for the management of Absolute’s worldwide OEM, channel and business development partnerships.
Mark previously served as Absolute’s vice president, Asia Pacific and Latin America, and as vice president, global consumer sales. Before joining Absolute, he successfully led global businesses through field, inside sales, retail and e-commerce initiatives in diverse market segments — including healthcare, education, enterprise and consumer — during more than 10 years at Dell Technologies. Mark graduated from Towson University.
Senior Vice President, People and Culture
As Senior Vice President, People and Culture, Amanda leads Absolute’s global human resources organization, spearheading our culture of putting people first. She has almost 20 years of experience leading human resources functions at technology organizations.
Prior to joining our team, Amanda held the role of Vice President of People at Fortinet where she led the human resources strategy for a global workforce of 4000 employees. She also served in leadership roles at Xantrex Technology (now Schneider Electric) and Creo (now Kodak).
Throughout her career, Amanda led teams that delivered record numbers in attracting, hiring, and maintaining top talent in high growth organizations. She is a recognized thought leader on global talent strategy and expansion and is instrumental in the elevation of Absolute’s core values of Trust, Passion, and Innovation.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University.
Senior Vice President, Marketing
As Senior Vice President, Marketing, Pam O’Neal brings over 20 years of executive management and marketing experience in enterprise technology to Absolute. She is an expert at driving brand leadership and rapid revenue growth for both large corporations and high-tech startups.
Prior to joining Absolute, Pam held leadership positions at a variety of information security, big data, and IoT organizations. In her most recent position as Chief Marketing Officer at Ryft Systems, Pam helped position the organization as a performance leader in data analytics, earning three industry awards for product innovation and another six for corporate branding. Pam also served as Vice President of Marketing at Rackspace, a $1.5 billion cloud computing leader, and led global marketing teams at Ixia, NetQoS (now CA), and Pervasive Software (now Actian Corporation).
Pam is a distinguished member of the Internet of Things (IoT) Community Advisory Board where she provides input and guidance to the overall vision, strategy, and execution of the organization that is shaping the current and future direction of the IoT industry.
Pam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas.
