What is Remote Data Delete? New Video

By: Absolute Editorial Team | 5/14/2013

If a device is at risk, then so is the data it contains. Even if you believe the data is safe, when it comes to regulations and corporate liability, you need to be able to prove it. Absolute Data & Device Security (DDS) customers use the Data Delete Audit Report as the IT response protocol, allowing them to prove the data on a device at risk has been deleted. During the data delete request, you can choose to wipe all files, wipe all files including the OS, or create a custom selection of files to wipe.

Learn more about the Remote Data Delete aspect of Absolute DDS in our new video.

Absolute DDS allows IT to remotely engage with the device so that data can be safeguarded or removed:

  • Remotely delete sensitive data on computers at risk
  • Produce an audit log of the deleted files to prove compliance
  • Freeze a device and send a message to the user
  • Remotely retrieve files from a device regardless of user or location
