Research firm Frost & Sullivan recently released The Three Big Predictions for the Global Healthcare Market based on a 2013 survey of 1,835 executives in more than 40 countries. The report identifies key areas of growth in the global healthcare market in 2014 and beyond: mHealth, Cloud in Healthcare, and Regulatory Environments.
The report looks at what has fuelled the growth in each of these areas. For example, the mHealth expansion has been in part fuelled by mobile technologies and devices, leading to many exciting solutions for providers and patients alike. The growth of mHealth will lead to the need for mobile healthcare solutions, as will the growth of cloud computing also being driven by mobile device use.
While the report looks at more broad strokes at the changes taking place in the healthcare industry, and how that will impact everything from the delivery of healthcare to drug development and new healthcare models.
