Karen is the Director, Technology Risk Management and Data Privacy for Absolute. She brings 15 years of risk management experience and her expertise is on information security, data privacy, emerging technology risk, cloud security, security incident response, governance, and internal controls. Karen is a designated Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and has a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Business Information Systems from the University of Derby. Passionate about raising awareness and bridging the gap of women in IT and cybersecurity roles, Karen is a board member for the ISACA Vancouver Chapter as Director, Diversity & Inclusion and leads the SheLeadsTech Vancouver program.
