Absolute Software First to Market with Full BYOD Capabilities

May 22, 2014

Absolute Software today announced they will be first to market with full BYOD support for computers, tablets, and smartphones. Now Absolute Manage customers can automate BYOD polices for employee-owned Mac and Windows computers, along with laptops, tablets and smartphones - all from a single console.

Absolute Manage 6.5 will provide enrollment workflows as well as remote and automated security protocols for corporate and employee-owned devices, fully supporting employee productivity. There is an increasing trend in the workplace of employees adding computers to their list of BYO devices. A Forrester study found that 31 percent of enterprise information workers reported their primary work laptop as a personally-owned device. As part of our continued innovation, we are pleased to give IT administrators more ways to remotely engage with all device types employees are using, regardless of form-factor or device ownership.

New features in Absolute Manage 6.5 at a glance:

Absolute Manage 6.5 will provide a number of significant features that realize the Absolute Unified IT vision to manage all devices from a single console. With this release, Absolute Manage will be the only solution on the market to offer full BYOD capabilities for all devices.

Absolute Manage 6.5 is available soon. More information on the update can be found in this infosheet.
