Lenovo builds computers with our Computrace® Agent embedded in the firmware.  Once activated, the Agent in the firmware can survive operating system re-installations, hard drive reformats and even hard drive replacements. 

This level of persistence provides Lenovo customers with the means to manage, track, and - in the event of theft - recover their computer.

Lenovo machines with Intel Anti-Theft enabled offer Computrace customers an enhanced level of protection by adding the ability for IT Administrators to lock access to a machine to protect the data on it. Once security is re-established the device is easily unlocked-data intact.
