Chief Executive Officer
Christy is Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors at Absolute. She has held a variety of executive leadership roles at globally-recognized business and technology brands like Good Technology (now Blackberry), Citigroup, Motorola, Apple, and Sun Microsystems. Drawing on her extensive background in security, mobility, and analytics, Christy is dedicated to solving Absolute customers’ greatest endpoint resiliency challenges.
Christy currently serves as a member of the board of directors at Silicon Labs, Quotient Technologies, and Dtex Systems, where she was recently CEO. She has been named one of Inc. Magazine’s Top 50 Women Entrepreneurs of America, Information Security’s CEO of the Year, and one of the Fierce Wireless “Most Influential Women in Wireless.” She is on Twitter at @ChristyWyatt.
Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Errol is responsible for managing the finance and operations functions at Absolute, including our investor relations efforts. Errol joined Absolute in 2010 and brings more than 25 years of corporate finance experience, including 20 years in the technology industry.
He has supervised the finances, operations and process improvements of rapidly growing companies, has participated in multiple acquisitions and mergers, and has managed and negotiated several debt and equity financings. Prior to joining Absolute, he was Chief Financial Officer at Inetco Systems and previously held the same role at Explorer Software. Errol’s extensive technology industry experience also includes senior finance roles at Pivotal Corporation and Infowave Software. Prior to leaving public practice, Errol was a manager in the audit and advisory services group at KPMG LLP, where he worked with a portfolio of private and public companies. Errol served as the interim Chief Executive Officer at Absolute from December 2013 until June 2014. In this role he was responsible for driving overall corporate strategy.
Errol holds a Chartered Accountant designation and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
Chief Commercial Officer
Sean Maxwell oversees the broad leadership of all commercial activities for Absolute’s global operating markets. This includes Global Sales.
Sean is a high-performing information security executive with a proven track record in leading effective and successful global enterprise software sales teams. His experience spans large global enterprise organizations, as well as at technology start-ups, within the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.
Prior to Absolute, Maxwell was vice president, Global Sales Strategy and Field Enablement at Symantec. In this role he was responsible for global sales and go-to-market planning — from defining the sales strategy to delivering quarterly results. Prior to his work at Symantec, Maxwell held sales leadership roles with Virtual Instruments and EMC.
Nicko van Someren, Ph.D
Chief Technology Officer
Nicko serves as Absolute’s Chief Technology Officer where he oversees the direction and strategic vision of Absolute’s product architecture and security roadmap. He has more than two decades of experience leading, developing and bringing to market disruptive security technologies. Prior to his role at Absolute, Nicko served as Chief Security Officer and Chief Information Officer at nanopay, Inc, a financial services technology company. He has also served as Chief Technology Officer at the Linux Foundation, Good Technology (now a part of BlackBerry) and nCipher (now a part of Entrust Datacard) as well as the Chief Security Architect at Juniper Networks.
Nicko also serves as a board member and advisor for numerous startups and is a mentor for the Techstars accelerator program in Boulder, CO. He has a PhD from Trinity College and fellowships from the Royal Academy of Engineering and British Computer Society.
Executive Vice President, Product Development
Todd Wakerley is Absolute’s Executive Vice President of Product Development, leading global product development initiatives to advance technology strategy in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Before joining Absolute, Todd served as senior director of Symantec’s Enterprise Mobility Suite, helping develop mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), and application security for iOS and Android devices. He also led the company’s strategic planning, technical due diligence, and product team integrations, resulting in accretive revenue streams and product innovations for Symantec.
A respected industry leader with more than 20 years’ experience in the information security industry, Todd’s previous roles include software development and IT management for a variety of technology and consulting organizations, including Arlington Group, Wise Solutions and Altiris. Todd has a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
Senior Vice President, Worldwide OEM, Channel and Business Development
Mark Grace is Absolute’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide OEM, Channel and Business Development. He is an accomplished leader and industry veteran with nearly 20 years of sales, marketing and operations experience in computer technology and consumer electronics. Mark is responsible for the management of Absolute’s worldwide OEM, channel and business development partnerships.
Mark previously served as Absolute’s vice president, Asia Pacific and Latin America, and as vice president, global consumer sales. Before joining Absolute, he successfully led global businesses through field, inside sales, retail and e-commerce initiatives in diverse market segments — including healthcare, education, enterprise and consumer — during more than 10 years at Dell Technologies. Mark graduated from Towson University.
Senior Vice President, Customer Experience
As Absolute’s Senior Vice President of Customer Experience, Matt Meanchoff is responsible for leading Absolute’s customer delivery and service functions – including Customer Success, Professional Services, Investigations, Risk Management, and Technical Support. Matt is responsible for the Absolute customer journey and Voice of the Customer, and for building a robust subscription base of engaged, loyal, and growing customers.
Matt joined Absolute in 2009 and brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience.
Matt previously served as Absolute’s Vice President, Services. Prior to joining Absolute, Matt held several leadership roles in global and start-up technology organizations where he successfully led teams in Product Management, Services, Support, and Operations. Prior to his work at Absolute, Matt held previous leadership positions with Fincentric (Fiserv) and RewardStream.
Matt holds a Master of Arts degree from Queen’s University.
Chief Information Officer & Chief Information Security Officer
As Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer, Chris is responsible for our information technology and security strategies at Absolute.
As a member of Absolute’s senior executive team, Chris is an active participant in the strategic direction of our business. He is instrumental in ensuring that Absolute consistently applies industry-leading standards of security and risk management across the organization. He also works closely with customers and industry analysts to ensure Absolute meets and exceeds regional and vertical-specific compliance standards including ISO 27001, FIPS, and many others.
Chris has over 20 years of experience in technology, operations, and leadership positions. Prior to Absolute, he held several executive roles within the retail, financial services, and securities industries. Most recently, Chris served as Chief Information Officer at Boston Pizza where he managed the entire IT infrastructure and security functions. He also held executive roles at Best Buy, Indigo, and spent 10 years in senior leadership positions at TD Bank. He has a proven track record leading IT transformation driven by changes to business strategy and security and compliance requirements.
Chris studied at both the Richard Ivey School of Business and Ryerson University in Ontario. He frequently shares his expertise and insights at industry events and academic institutions.
Chief Communications Officer
Karen is the Chief Communications Officer at Absolute, where she oversees worldwide public, analyst and investor relations, employee communications, reputation management, social media, executive advocacy, and crisis and issues management. With more than two decades of strategic communications expertise, Karen has a proven track record in building and growing teams and is relentlessness in creating a collaborative culture.
Prior to joining Absolute, Karen served as Vice President of Corporate Communications at Centrify and BMC Software. Earlier in her career, she served as the Chief Communications Officer at Good Technology, where she led and directed integrated media, social and employee communications strategy, contributing to the company’s successful acquisition by BlackBerry.
Karen received her bachelor's degree in Art History from the University of California at Los Angeles, and is a frequent guest speaker at universities, including USC Annenberg School of Communications and University of San Francisco’s Graduate School of Communications. Chief Human Resources Officer
As Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Absolute, John oversees all aspects of human capital management worldwide and driving a high-performance culture for the company.
John is a seasoned executive and business leader with extensive experience in developing and aligning human resource strategies and initiatives to maximize organizational performance and growth. He brings a strong international, cross-cultural perspective and ability to support operations as a result of working on multiple continents and spanning industry experience across technology, consulting and professional services, engineering and government contracting.
John is a former U.S. Marine with a long and successful career in HR. Prior to joining Absolute, John was most recently at Tapestry Solutions, a Boeing-owned software company, where he was responsible for the company’s global human resources strategy and execution across eleven countries. Prior to that, John was a Global HR Director at Black & Veatch, a global engineering leader.
He holds a bachelor of arts degree in Human Resource Management from Missouri State University and is also a Senior Certified HR Professional with the Society of Human Resource Management.
