Absolute Software Wins Award for Information Security Product of the Year at the SC Magazine Awards in London

Vancouver, Canada: April 28, 2010 – In recognition of its achievements this year in the field of IT security, Absolute® Software has won the award for Best Information Security Product of the Year at the annual Secure Computing Awards Europe.

Absolute Software picked up the award for its Computrace® software, which allows businesses to centrally track devices, remotely delete data and help recover stolen computers. Additionally, Computrace earned a Highly Commended recognition in the Best Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Solution category.

Now entering its third decade, the SC Awards Europe honor professionals working to secure enterprises and the vendor and channel communities that deliver these innovative security technologies.

“Computrace has been hugely successful with our customers, and this is reflected in the award for Best Information Security Product at this year's ceremony." said Dave Everitt, general manager EMEA at Absolute Software. “Businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of data security and, with the introduction of the ICO fines this year, it’s essential that they have the systems in place to properly protect their sensitive information. Absolute will continue to help businesses comply with the new rules and tackle the security challenges of tomorrow.”
