Windows 8 Enterprise Supported by Absolute Manage

By: Absolute Team | 10/26/2012

Microsoft Windows 8 is available today with some exciting new features for business users. The Windows blog outlines all the new features of the 3 basic Windows versions with a list of additional features for Windows 8 Enterprise.

In response to the changing face of business, Windows 8 Enterprise supports BYOD with Windows to Go, a fully manageable corporate Windows 8 desktop on a bootable external USB that will allow employees more secure access to the corporate environment. In addition to this, DirectAccess allows outside access to the network without a separate VPN, AppLocker can restrict the use of apps and files and much more. We are glad to see the improvements made to Windows 8 to support a more secure corporate environment.

If you want to know more about what you can expect to get out of Windows 8, PC Mag has a great series of posts offering insights and customizations.

We have been prepped and ready for the launch of Windows 8 since August. The latest version of Absolute Manage has been tested with, and fully supports, Windows 8, allowing Absolute customers to immediately begin OS migration planning. Absolute Manage allows organizations to remotely manage and secure all of their endpoints from a single console, including PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices.
