Today, Apple held its much-anticipated 'It's Almost Here' launch announcement event in San Francisco. One of the major releases announced is the new iPhone 5, a huge leap forward in smartphone technology that is sure to be adopted en masse later this month.
The new iPhone 5 features a taller 4" 326ppi Retina display, 4G LTE antenna for faster wireless, a faster A6 processor, an improved 8-Megapixel iSight camera, a more powerful battery, a better microphone /speaker system and a new Lightning dock connector. Despite the hefty upgrade in speakers, the new iPhone 5 is Apple's lightest and thinnest model to date.
With attractive new features such as these, the iPhone 5 is sure to be a sought-after upgrade for existing iPhone users and will likely attract new users to the iPhone marketplace. In particular, the powerful features make the iPhone an even more capable smartphone for business use, so we'll likely see a huge uptick in BYOD adoption in the workplace.
