Absolute Software Partners With HP in NBC’s School Pride

Absolute Software has partnered with HP to participate in School Pride, a new NBC school-renovation reality series, focused on transforming K-12 public schools systems across the U.S. It gives local communities an opportunity to renovate and restore their neglected schools, those dealing with flood damage, drastic state and local budget cuts, and declining economies. The cameras follow students, teachers and parents as they roll up their sleeves and rebuild their own schools. While transforming the school, the community also restores its sense of value and school pride.

As the exclusive computer provider for School Pride, HP contributed a wide range of education technology for classrooms, libraries, labs and administrative offices distributed to seven schools to be featured in this series. And Absolute contributed our computer lifecycle management and security solutions.

School Pride will chronicle the transformation of the following schools throughout its first season:

  • Enterprise Middle School – Compton, CA
  • Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies – Los Angeles, CA
  • Lanier Elementary School – Baton Rouge, LA
  • Kingston Springs Elementary School – Kingston Springs, TN
  • Communication and Media Arts High School – Detroit, MI
  • Needles High School – Needles, CA
  • Hollenbeck Middle School – Los Angeles, CA

In collaboration with HP, we have equipped the schools with technology that will allow teachers to easily integrate computers and applications into their curriculum and provide a personalized PC experience to every student in the classroom. This includes managing and securing their fleet of computers and helping the schools achieve accountability, enhance student safety and focus on learning outcomes.

School Pride debuted Friday October 15th on NBC 8 / 7c and will run on Fridays this Fall for 7 episodes.  For more information, visit NBC's School Pride site or watch the preview below.
