Absolute Software Introduces Persistence Technology to Dell Android Devices

Absolute Software announced last week an expanded agreement with Dell to embed Persistence technology in  Android-powered Dell mobile devices. We began embedding Persistence technology in Dell devices in 2005 and are pleased to expand that coverage now.

Absolute’s Persistence technology will now be embedded in the firmware of Dell’s Android devices at the factory. By activating Persistence technology, Dell customers will receive unrivalled endpoint security and data risk management, allowing IT to remain connected with all corporate devices, regardless of user or location.

“Our relationship with Dell is a long-standing and strategic partnership that is significant to our overall success,” said Geoff Haydon, chief executive officer, Absolute Software. “Since we began embedding our technology in Dell devices back in 2005, our Persistence technology has delivered an unparalleled level of endpoint security to millions of Dell devices globally. We are excited to see this number increase under the agreement, and look forward to continuing to deliver our unique technology as a complementary security solution to our mutual customers.”

Persistence technology from Absolute provides you with visibility and control over all of your devices, regardless of user or location. If an Absolute software client is removed from an endpoint, it will automatically reinstall so you can secure each device and the sensitive data it contains. No other technology can do this. For more about Persistence technology, watch the video below:
