The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) has released its 2010 Report on Internet Crime, a report which looks at the state of cybercrime in the US. The 2010 report is based on a total of 303,809 complaints that IC3 received, more than a third of which were referred to law enforcement.
IC3 is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C). IC3 has received more
than 2 million Internet crime complaints since its creation 10 years ago. 2010 saw IC3 receiving the second-highest number of complaints in its history.
