Q:How can I find my registration code after I've installed Computrace LoJack for Laptops onto my computer?
A:
If you have already registered and installed Computrace LoJack for Laptops, you can find your registration code by logging in to your Computrace LoJack for Laptops account.
Q:How can I tell if Computrace LoJack for Laptops is functioning correctly on my computer?
A:
Log in to your account and check the last time your computer called. If Computrace LoJack for Laptops is functioning correctly, your computer will call the Absolute Monitoring Center once each day (an internet connection is required). If the last call occurred more than 24.5 hours ago, it may indicate an issue with your installation.
Q:I received an Error 1012 when trying to install. What does this mean?
A:
Error 1012 is an indication that the Registration Code is currently “in use”. To free up the code to use again, please follow these steps

1. From the computer you want to protect, login to the Computrace LoJack for Laptops website using your registered email and password at - https://www.LoJackforLaptops.com/customer/login.asp.

2. Click on the 'Remove' button from the My Subscriptions tab. You will receive a message to flag the Computrace agent for removal. Click on 'Flag for Removal'. (If you have multiple licenses associated to your email address, click the '+' next to the Registration code to expand the details of the computer you wish to flag for removal and then click the Remove button).

3. The details of the registration code will show 'The agent has been flagged for removal'.

4. Now click the 'Install' button to install the software on your computer.

5. You will be directed to the INSTALL LOJACK FOR LAPTOPS download page. (have your registration code handy, as you will need it for the installation)

6. Click on Download for Windows or Mac (depending on the device you are installing LoJack for Laptops on) and follow the steps that appear on the screen.

7. Once the installation is complete, a new Window will appear with confirmation of a successful installation and Recommended Next Steps.
