Computrace issues when upgrading to Windows 7
With the introduction of Windows 7, many Computrace customers are upgrading their operating system. In rare circumstances, an issue can occur that causes the computer to hang or cause the mouse to function incorrectly. This issue occurs infrequently and only with computers that have an older BIOS image containing Computrace code, the machine currently has Computrace active, and a clean install of Windows 7 is being performed to an empty partition. The problem does not occur when performing an upgrade from Windows Vista. Machines with the current BIOS installed will not have this problem. After a reboot of the affected device, the issue is resolved automatically.
